Frequently asked questions
What is VetVault?
VetVault is a pet health app for iPhone and Android that explains your cat's or dog's lab results in plain language and keeps every health record (vaccinations, medications, vet visits, weight, symptoms) in one place, with reminders.
How do I get my pet's blood test explained?
In the app, go to Home, Add Lab Result, choose Log Completed Test and add a photo or PDF of the report. Save it and tap Analyze with AI. You get every value with its reference range, highs and lows flagged, a plain-language summary and suggested follow-up.
Which tests can VetVault explain?
Complete blood counts, chemistry panels (kidney values such as creatinine, BUN and SDMA, liver enzymes, glucose, proteins, electrolytes), thyroid T4, fructosamine and urinalysis. It also reads vet visit documents.
Can AI replace my vet?
No. VetVault explains what a report says and helps you prepare questions. Diagnosis and treatment decisions belong to your veterinarian, who also knows the examination findings and your pet's history.
Does VetVault work for dogs?
Yes. It works for cats, dogs and other pets. Our guides focus on cats because cats with kidney disease, hyperthyroidism and diabetes are where lab tracking helps most.
What is free and what is Premium?
Free: unlimited pets and records, reminders, routines, symptoms, weight, expenses with CSV export, family sharing, one AI lab analysis, one vet-visit document analysis, one AI symptom report and three AI chat messages a day. Premium adds unlimited AI analysis, PDF reports for your vet, up to 100 chat messages a day and AI health reminders.
How much does Premium cost?
In the US, $6.99 a month, $49.99 a year or $149 once for lifetime access. Local prices are shown in the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your Apple ID subscription settings on iPhone, or in Google Play subscriptions on Android, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish and Romanian. AI explanations are written in the language you use the app in, even if the lab report is in another language.
Can my family use the same pet profile?
Yes. Invite family members or a pet sitter from the pet's settings and everyone sees and updates the same records.
What happens to my lab reports?
They are stored with your pet's record. To create an explanation, the document is sent through our server to Google's Gemini AI. We do not sell your data and there are no ads. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I use VetVault without an account?
Yes, in guest mode on one device, but data in guest mode is not backed up. Create an account to sync across devices and keep your records safe.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete Account. Your account and all of its data are deleted. Instructions are also on our account deletion page.
I am a veterinarian. What is in a VetVault report?
Owner-entered vaccinations, conditions, medications, vet visits, lab results, weight and symptoms for a chosen period. See the page for veterinarians for details.
